Grandmas Famous French Dip Sandwiches

One thing you need to know about my Grandma Helen or Grandma U as I have so lovingly called her my entire life is she is an amazing and natural chef and cooking for her family is her love language. She is so joyful when she is bringing everyone together over a home cooked meal. Special Occasions were no exception. If you have ever been to a birthday celebration or special occasion at her house then you know they often feature one dish in particular, her french dip sandwiches. She always makes them for these occasions because everyone goes nuts over them. My husband was no exception to this rule, after the first time he had them he was hooked just like everyone else.

Well when it was coming close to Evans birthday I thought it would be nice to have his parents over for a family birthday dinner. He loved the idea and we got to work thinking of what kind of dinner he would like me to make for him. Then it suddenly hit me what it needed to be, the French Dip. So I called my Grandma up and asked her for that recipe right away. After it was all said and done I was so pleased with how it came out, it actually was simple to make just time consuming and the taste was as close to Grandmas as I could've hoped for. I'm so excited to know how to make one of her famous dishes myself for family dinners out here in Texas and hope to slowly learn several of her other dishes as well.

Now onto the recipe....
