No Ornament Red & White Christmas Tree Decorate with me (2019- updated with 2020 sources)

Red & White Christmas Tree- Using no Ornaments

I did not do a blog post about this last year when I uploaded the video so I am adding it now so I can update the sources to be current. Last year I shared in the video above the entire process of decorating my tree. At the time I had a one year old who had just learned to walk and it seemed safer to me to not use ornaments and ornament hooks. Plus I was determined to prove you didn't need them to have a beautiful tree, I love how it turned out.

Step by Step:

Here is a quick overview of what I show in the video, each step I took to create this look
  • Fluff the tree
  • Add the lights
  • Add the large picks
  • Add flower picks
  • Curl Ribbon
  • Add remaining picks
  • Add ornaments (this tree doesn't have any)
  • Add bow ribbons

Christmas Home Decor Tour

When we moved into our house in October I was already thinking about decorating for Christmas and so excited. One of the things that set this house apart from our first home in Dallas was the fact that there was a fireplace and mantle to decorate for the holidays.

We only had a tiny Christmas tree from our apartment days so we decided to get a new one this year. I had been eyeing flocked trees for some time but many of them were way out of budget. However I noticed that King of Christmas was now selling their trees on Amazon, also I noticed that by buying the non-lighted version you save over $100 for the same size so we did just that. We got the 7.5' flocked King of Christmas tree, non-lighted version. The tree was absolutely stunning and we were so happy with our decision. A random plus to flocked trees is they look great on their own so you can get away with a lot less decor.

We went with a "winter wonderland" theme for the tree with mostly silver, white and pops of red berries. We topped the tree with an assortment of sparkly silver picks.

We also did a flocked garland with similar color scheme on the mantle, along with our stockings.
