Wedding Photos: Ceremony

After our first looks and wedding party photos it was getting close to the time guests would start arriving, so the girls and I headed to our holding room until it was time for the ceremony to start. The room had a window that looked out to where all the guest, I couldn't help myself from peeking through the curtains and watching everyone arrive. I was like a little kid on Christmas morning!
Our ceremony took place on the first hole of the golf green at 5:00 o'clock in the evening. We kept it simple with rose petals down the aisle and sheer curtains and flowers on the arch.
My handsome Hubby walking down the aisle and waiting for everyone else :)
The bridesmaids and groomsmen walked down the aisle arm in arm to an acoustic instrumental version of "Marry Me" by Train
The day of our rehearsal our flower girl, my niece freaked out and refused to practice walking down the aisle so it was a big question mark whether or not she would walk down the aisle the day of. Her parents did some convincing and got her there but she was openly not thrilled as you can see by the look on her face. She got to the end of the aisle and ran back down to her mom. My dad and I are behind her laughing like crazy so it certainly lightened the mood for me to walk down the aisle myself.
I didn't make it the whole way down the aisle without starting to cry but once I got to the front it was back to all smiles, for a few minutes at least
These last two photos were infamous moments in our ceremony. I started to cry again during our vows and Evan pulled out a handkerchief and dabbed away my tears. At the reception everyone let us know when he did that everyone else lost in and began to cry. In the second picture you can see my mom crying, well she made such a loud sobbing noise that she made us all laugh and stopped the crying rght there so I was able to go on with my vows
For our unity ceremony we did the knot trying ceremony where we together tied a fisherman's knot, a lovers knot because it is the strongest knot there is, its bond will not break and it becomes stronger under pressure. We had a hard time deciding on a unity ceremony and once we found this one we were sold. I loved it the day of it was so special and unique. The accompanying ceremony the Pastor read was beautiful and so fitting.
With that he announced us officially husband and wife and said he could now kiss his bride!
For a ceremony exit we gave the aisle lined seat a dollie cone filled with rose petals to throw on us as we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife!

  1. This place is a very nice place for a wedding and worth looking into. While I didn't have my own wedding here, I've seen the wedding venues in all decked out glory. On a smaller scale, we had our prom there. This truly is a beautiful building with fabulous views.
